Home Security & Smart Home in Las Vegas, NV
Since 1984, Eagle Sentry has been the leading home security and smart home integration company in Las Vegas. From the Strip to Summerlin, from new luxury construction to established neighborhoods — we design, install, and monitor complete home technology systems.
Our home base since 1984
Eagle Sentry started as a Las Vegas security company in 1984 and still operates from one office on East Patrick Lane. Over four decades, the city's housing has gone from mid-century ranch homes to guard-gated golf communities to new neighborhoods at the valley's edges. We work in all of them. We design, install and service the system with our own team, and keep it monitored around the clock.
Las Vegas homes span every era, and that changes the plan
- Older central neighborhoods. Homes built before the 1990s often have little or no low-voltage wiring. Many switch boxes have no neutral wire, which rules out some smart dimmers. The attic, not the walls, is usually the easiest route for new cable. We survey first and then choose between wired, wireless or a mix, so you don't pay to open walls you don't need to.
- Guard-gated and golf communities. In neighborhoods like Spanish Trail, Queensridge and Tournament Hills, homes are often large single-story or estate floor plans with long runs, big glass and legacy systems installed decades ago. These projects typically involve replacing an aging alarm panel, adding cameras that cover wide lots, and tying lighting and shades into one system. We coordinate access with the gatehouse and HOA for installation days.
- Newer edge-of-valley communities. In Southern Highlands, Mountains Edge, Centennial Hills and Skye Canyon, the house is newer but the builder package is usually minimal. The first projects tend to be a real network, wired cameras and an upgraded, monitored alarm.
What the desert does to your equipment
Summer heat, blowing dust and monsoon lightning are hard on electronics. We mount outdoor cameras and equipment where they're shaded or enclosed, keep network and control gear out of the garage, and recommend surge protection and battery backup, because summer storms and peak-demand spikes are when unprotected gear fails. West-facing glass also takes the full afternoon sun, which is why motorized shades are one of the most common additions we make in Las Vegas.
Replacing or taking over an existing system
Many Las Vegas homes still have a panel from a previous owner or a company that has left the market, including Cox HomeLife customers whose service is ending. We don't build on another company's components. A consultant reviews what's installed, reuses sound wiring where possible, and installs a current Qolsys panel with Alarm.com control. Panels roughly ten years old or older often can't meet current monitoring standards, and we'll tell you honestly if yours is one of them.
Typical Las Vegas projects
- Alarm replacement and monitoring takeover. A new panel and Alarm.com app control, reusing existing door and window wiring where it tests sound.
- Camera systems for wide lots. Wired cameras on every corner, the driveway and the pool area, viewable from your phone and recording locally.
- Whole-home Wi-Fi. Several wired access points instead of one router, so cameras, TVs and phones work from the primary suite to the backyard.
- Lighting and shades. Keypads that replace rows of switches, plus motorized shades on the rooms that take the afternoon sun.
- Whole-home automation. Lighting, shades, climate, audio and security on one platform, from a single room up to the whole estate.
Monitoring and local guard response
Your alarm is monitored 24/7 by Rapid Response, our UL-listed monitoring partner, with command centers in New York and California. Every plan includes local guard response through Green Valley Security, our patrol partner, dispatched by the monitoring center when an alarm needs a response. Silver starts at $49.99 a month, Gold ($69.99) adds full app control and automation, and Platinum ($89.99) adds video-verified alarms.
A recent Las Vegas project
In a southwest Las Vegas home, we put the family room, primary bedroom, casita and outdoor living area on one Crestron Home system. Each space got its own TV and one remote, the family room got a surround-sound receiver and subwoofer, and the patio got a weatherproof outdoor TV and soundbar. Music plays room to room from two multi-zone amplifiers, and six thermostats now run from the same app.

Local expertise matters
Las Vegas's extreme heat, monsoon storms, and rapid growth create unique demands on home technology. Solar glare requires motorized shades. Desert dust means sealed outdoor equipment. And the valley's spread-out geography demands a monitoring company with local knowledge and local guard response — not a call center in another state.
